With 6 years of high school experience as a Ceramics Teacher and 5 years of professional experience as a Ceramic Artist, I am excited to apply for this opportunity. Currently serving as the Art Teacher at Findlater High School in Colorado, where I instruct Grades 8-10, I am dedicated to introducing students to various art media, including ceramics, painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture. My goal is to foster a love for art in students by creating engaging and age-appropriate projects.

Ceramics is my true passion, having exhibited my work at the Swan Gallery in Colorado before transitioning into teaching. I have also organized and led successful children's ceramics classes, camps, workshops, and family programs. Alongside my artistic and teaching background, I hold an MFA in Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Arts and Crafts (Ceramics).

My experience has equipped me with the skills necessary for effective course planning, assessment of student progress, development of engaging curriculum units, and teaching students of varying ages and abilities.
