Upon reviewing my CV, you will notice that I have tread my own path into the construction industry, but along that path, I have developed a skill set that is different to most candidates that I assume you be reviewing.
Currently employed a Project Manager at ICG Construction Group managing a portfolio of approximately $11 million, split between a new TAFE College in Hay, Western NSW, valued at $4 million, and a large industrial packing facility for our client Costa Group, valued at $7 million. Besides working on multiple construction projects simultaneously and communicating with clients, stakeholders and senior management, I take an active role in leading and mentoring site teams to produce their best.
My path to construction commenced in 2010, commencing an apprenticeship in Electronics and Communications working for a Technical Security Contractor on Tier 1 Construction Sites, including the Sydney Desalination Plant, Department of Defence Explosives Factory at Mulwala NSW and the Royal North Shore Hospital Redevelopment. Upon completion, I was promoted to the position of Project Manager for a Sister Company, before successfully applying for a position as a Branch Manager for Wormald in Melbourne in 2017.
In 2018, I landed my first construction role as a Foreman for CPB Contractors on the Junee Correctional Centre Expansion, a $238 Million build, where I was tasked with the responsibility of constructing a 480 bed, maximum security correctional facility.
Since then, it has been onwards and upwards, becoming a Senior Supervisor at the Wagga Hospital Redevelopment and now a Project Manager for the largest commercial builder in Wagga Wagga. After successfully completing my Certificate IV in Building and Construction, I am now studying for a Degree in Construction Management with UNISA which I will complete within the next 24 months, and a Diploma of Project Management which will be complete within the next 12 months.
